Illustrated Self Portrait

Objective - For this project, the goal was to create a self portrait using only adobe illustrator. We also needed to create a background to go with it.

Process - I broke down the image into small pieces and used the pen tool to create small abstract shapes. I used the eyedropper tool to create the correct pigments. I used the pattern tool and gradient mesh to create the texture in my sweater and used a hair shaped brush to draw each strand of hair. I created a background that reflects me and complements the portrait.
